WHAT ARE THE NORTH & BALTIC SEAS?

This YouTube from Audiopedia will tell you a lot about the area in Scandinavia where the Skaggerak and Kattegat Straits are located, including how to pronounce the names. It begins: “The Skagerrak is a strait running between the southeast coast of Norway, the southwest coast of Sweden, and the Jutland peninsula of Denmark, connecting the North Sea and the Kattegat sea area, which leads to the Baltic Sea.”

According to the Sea Inlets and Straits section of NationsEncyclopedia’s article on the Kingdom of Sweden, “The Kattegat and Skagerrak are considered part of the North Sea. The channel of water separating Denmark and Sweden and linking the Kattegat Strait with the Baltic Sea is the Öresund Strait.”

Tom thought it was the Caspian Sea & the Black Sea. He lost his $3,001 bet and finished with $6,999.

Alicia went with the North Sea & the Atlantic Ocean. She bet and lost her whole $13,000.

Jack got it right. He bet $100 and won the game with $26,500. Jack Weller will join Sadie Goldberg in the Finals on Thursday and Friday.

Who would even know about those two straits? I mean, I would imagine that those in the Scandinavian countries might know, but jeepers, I would be hard pressed to even spell the names of those two straits.

@VJ, I wasn’t but I almost fell out of my chair over the plural of “moose” given by Jack. I couldn’t stop laughing. Meese? Seriously? I thought about Ed Meese when he said that though. 😁

Caspian Sea is just bad. Jack really did it, but, he got quite a boost from the DDs. I don’t know if his performance is completely replicable. So far, Sadie has had a better game.

Happy to see Jack getting this right today. Strong players today
