Greg Jennings’ Sister Doesn’t Like Aaron Rodgers

It seems Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings’sister Valyncia is no fan of the quarterback who passes the ball to her brother.  During the Packers-Minnesota Vikings regular season finale on December 30th, Valyncia took to Twitter and expressed her opinion in no uncertain terms, describing Aaron Rodgers as “the most overrated QM in the league!  He is nowhere near Peyton (Manning of Denver) or (Patriots QB Tom) Brady! It sickens me, Peyton would avg. 5TD with this squad!!!”

She went on to tweet that Greg “should have more catches if this idiot could see the coverage!! Then he holds on the ball and fumbles.”  She also tweeted that her brother needed to leave the “cheap” Packers organization.  Jennings will be a free agent after the season.  It’s possible he may sign elsewhere in part because Green Bay has several key players due for new contracts in the next year or so, and with the NFL’s salary cap, someone will get left out.

Upon being informed of the social media diatribes, Greg expressed his displeasure to Valyncia  but didn’t ask her to take down her account.  She opened a private account a couple of days later anyway.  Gregg also did some damage control, saying that her opinions are her own and not his.  He also smoothed things over with Rodgers, or so he thought.  When asked if things were OK between the two Jennings replied “Yeah” and added “you would have to ask him.”

That’s not the kind of distraction a team wants during preparations for the playoffs.  The Packers will host the Vikings in a first round playoff game on January 5th.
