Zach LaVine Continues Hot February with 38 Points in Bulls Win Over Kings

The Chicago Bulls are having a so-so 2020-21 season, with a record of 13-16 through games of February 20th. But one bright spot has been the play of Zach LaVine. The veteran shooting guard scored 38 points in the Bulls’ 122-114 victory over the Sacramento Kings at the United Center on February 20th. It was the fourth straight game LaVine has scored 30 or more, and he’s averaging 32 points per game in 11 games in February, and 28.9 points per game for the season.

LaVine had a season high 46 points against New Orleans on February 10th, and scored 45 at the Los Angeles Clippers a month before that. With the victory over the Kings, the Bulls drew to within a half game of the New York Knicks for the eighth and final spot for the Eastern Conference playoffs. With a little more than half the season left, the Bulls have plenty of time to make the playoffs for the first time since the 2016-17 season.
