Wordle Fun with Today’s Starter Word Suggestion

The New York Times Wordle Bot is currently using SLATE for its favorite starting word, after giving TRACE a try and then changing it to CRANE. It’s immaterial to me. I am now using MOTIF every single day until it comes out. Some people had to get SLATE on the first try and did but I have to get MOTIF! Then maybe I’ll switch to notch and hoist. The Wordle Oracle is still using CRANE for hints. A suggested starter word is included that I think is the one starter word that could help you solve Wordle in 2 steps.

Play Wordle online once a day. You get six chances to figure out a 5-letter word. The game will tell you when you have a letter or letters that are in the word of the day. It will also tell you whether your correct letter is in the correct position (green) or not (yellow).

My first word was W O R T H. The T and the H showed up yellow so I tried T H A N K for my second word. Not only did the H come back green, the A and the N did, too. However the T was yellow. Now I knew for certain that the last 4 letters were H A N T, and the solution was obvious.

From VJ: LeMot.fr is my favorite French Wordle. Play 4, 5 and 6 letters everyday and if that’s not enough, switch to unlimited mode.

With HELLO WORDL you can choose how long of a word you want to solve and you are not limited to one game a day.

WORLDLE is for geography lovers. They show you the outline of a country. If your first guess is incorrect, they show you how far away you are from the right answer (in kilometers) and in which direction you should look.

Antiwordle is yet another wordle-based game with a twist. Rather than try to get the word in as few tries as possible, you have to try to NOT get it and the longer it takes, the better. If you want to give it a try, be sure to read the rules first.
