Warriors Win Game 3 of the NBA Finals, Push Cavaliers to Brink of Elimination

Stephen Curry had an off night shooting for Golden State, hitting just 3 of 16 field goals and 1 of 10 three point attempts, but the depth of the Warriors overcame that in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. The Warriors beat the host Cleveland Cavaliers 110-102 on June 6th, to take a 3-0 lead in the series.

Curry finished with 11, and was one of six Warriors in double figures scoring. Kevin Durant led the way with another huge game, scoring 43 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. The Cavaliers were led, of course, by LeBron James, who had a triple double of 33 points, 11 assists, and 10 rebounds; Kevin Love kicked in 20 points and 13 rebounds.

No team has come back from a 3-0 deficit in NBA playoff history, so the story here will be shifting to the topic of whether James will opt out of the remainder of his contract and sign with someone else. At 33, he’d like to win another title and not just be runner up again, and he could be the missing piece for a team that is already a solid contender.
