Supporting Cast: Rite of Passage – Shameless

One thing we didn’t touch on in the recap of Rite of Passage (Shameless S5 E5 2/8/15) was the situation between Veronica and Kevin. After feeling like she cheated on Kev at the club in the last episode, V gives Kevin a limited pass to cheat on her once.

Janet Varney played a mom in the park that Kevin approached with informatives lines such as “I’m not a pedophile.” That got him maced in the face.

Kevin decided a bar would be a better place to look (he was only doing this in the first place because it would make V feel better). He met an accommodating young mother, played by Elizabeth Gudenrath (listed in the credit as Julie. Did anyone hear her or Kev say her name?). She was willing to help him out but his “sacrifice’ did nothing to improve matters at home. Veronica, it seems, is more jealous of the twins than she is of other women. Get some help for that post-partum depression, V.

We think Chris Boykin played the real estate agent that wasn’t interested in Sammi’s proposal to buy more time before hauling off her trailer. He is listed in the cast credits as Glen, but like Julie, we never heard that.

Other things we learned:

• Gus is a diabetic and his favorite Eagle is Joe Walsh. Fiona’s favorite is the bald eagle.
• Frank’s liver donor was an altar boy who read girlie mags and smoked weed.
• You can buy used women’s panties from vending machines in Tokyo.
