Supporting Cast of The 1-3-2 – Ray Donovan
There were a couple of Boston characters we’ve seen before in “The 1-3-2,” (12-9-2018), the seventh episode of “Ray Donovan,” Season 6. The episode recap is here.
Jerzy Gwiazdowski played the wig shop clerk who was willing to give Mickey Donovan a $500 discount on his ensemble in return for a date. Mickey was okay with paying the whole $1,500 as long as the chain was included.
Alexandra Turshen made another appearance as Justine. Ray Donovan blackmailed poor Justine into going on TV and admitting that the whole Central Park attack was staged by Anita Novak’s campaign. She was interviewed on Nightly Nation by Billy Till (Aaron Serotsky) who said “So far, no comment from the Novak campaign.” Yeah, because they were all watching it on TV, which was strange. Don’t “Nightly” shows come on at night? You’d think Anita would be out on the prowl by then. It was also weird that Billy didn’t even ask Justine why she was coming forward.
Lulu Brod played Lauren, Abby Donovan’s niece. We saw here before in “Breakfast of Champions” when Abby ran off to Boston to take a break from Ray. Her man troubles came up then too. It was another opportunity to throw in an Abby memory.
Robert Rusler was also in the “Bteakfast of Champions” episode as Gus O’Dea. At that time, we learned that he was in a wheelchair because of a motorcycle accident. This time we learned that the “heartache” of his life was never seeing his kids. His wife took them and went home to her mother after she caught him cheating on her in the marital bed.
Also in Boston: Sandy Patrick (Sandy Martin) appeared at the tail end of the episode and was spotted by Bunchy. Has anyone else noticed that Bunchy suddenly comes to life under some circumstances lately. Mickey could not have escaped from the hospital without Bunchy’s help. Robbing the check cashing place was totally Bunchy’s idea. Now he is not going to turn himself in at all. He is going to get that $3 million back from crafty Aunt Sandy.
