Supporting Cast: God Bless Her Rotting Soul – Shameless

Here are some of the actors and actresses who appeared in Shameless, Episode 3, Season 8 (11-19-17): The recap of the episode is here.

Perry Mattfeld in Shameless

How’s about a sweetheart deal for my friends?

Perry Mattfeld plays Mel, Nessa’s jealous girlfriend. We’ve only seen a little bit of Mel up until this episode when she put her backstabbing nature on full display. Mel wanted to make sure her friends, Charlotte (Amy Tsang) and Trotter (Stacy Highsmith), got Fiona’s vacant apartment so she told Bahir the building was infested with bedbugs.

Raffi Barsoumian in Shameless

How come I don’t see no bedbugs bites on you?

Raffi Barsoumian played Bahir. He should have known better than to take the word of a tenant who might have an axe to grind, but even more than that– why would she still be living there if that was true. Fiona found out about Mel’s little ploy and (we hope) is still going to rent the place to Bahir. Fiona already decided she’s not making any “sweetheart” deals when renting out units, but it’s more than that. Mel clearly doesn’t like Fiona and that would make any friends of hers potential enemies. Who needs those headaches?

Lakisha and Neil in Shameless

I’m in love with my nurse

Speaking of backstabbers, how about ol’ Lakisha (Kelli Dawn Hancock). It never crossed Debbie’s mind that Lakisha would put the moves on her meal ticket. We liked Neil (Zack Pearlman) and it’s too bad we won’t get to see more of his inability “to edit his thoughts.” LOL!

Gregory A. Thompson in Shameless

Hey! You’re not supposed to feed service dogs

Gregory A. Thompson played the blind man who came to the garden center with his service dog. Frank was in St. Francis mode and wanted to prove he was the patron saint of animals reincarnated. All he proved was that he’s a total ignoramus, and what was up with that dead squirrel he took home and left on the sofa? Ewww!

Alan Rosenberg in Shameless

Thanks for opening my bottle

Oh Professor Youens, you done gone and done it now! His life has hit rock bottom for sure, even if he hasn’t– he’s still drinking! Those 12-steppers sincerely want to help the Professor, but golly! Did you see all those empty booze bottles laying around his place? This guy needs detox and then straight to rehab. Prosecutors downgrade charges all the time. He must have already been shown an extraordinary amount of leniency on his 4 previous DUI’s. But DUI laws are supposed to be strict for everyone and we are all supposed to be on the same page that those who won’t stop themselves from driving drunk are a menace and must be stopped. Even if he gets a suspended jail sentence, they should revoke his license permanently.

Finally, here is the scene where Ian tried to rescue Carl from being drowned by Eric (Jamie Harris). Strong and able-bodied Ian was unable to stop these thugs with a baseball bat but flabby, weak Frank was able to make Eric forget about half the $70K with a rationalization and a promise to kill him. Hmmm…. must’ve been because Eric was getting the hot tub and he saw all the hotties in it with Carl.

  1. VJ says:

Thanks JLane, the new Frank is still funny to me — he’s not pretending to be good like Frank the scammer. St. Francis is straight up delusional. Maybe after a few more episodes, we’ll be praying for him to take a drink. ha ha!

Yeah, Kev/Bart is bound to be a riot plus Svetlana’s gonna be back in their lives. Her lines are always hilarious.

Just watched Shameless, VJ, and again, rock solid recap! I’m still kinda creeped out about the new, do-good St. Francis. In fact, the whole family, less Debs, seems to be on their best behavior. Somethings gotta give… and I think the story line about Kev aka Bart is going to be funnier than a redneck family reunion… 😉
    Take care!
