Mr. Jones tells Frank why he paid protection money to his “feces of a son”

In Episode 8 of Season 6 of Shameless (3/6/16), Mr. Jones (Sean T. Krishnan) informed Frank (William H. Macy) that his success in his takeover of Carl’s “security business” depended on having a replacement for Nick.

Gareth is getting a bigger cut of the protection money than Frank anticipated

Retired basketball pro Rick Fox played Gareth who, at something like 6’6″, fit Mr. Jones’ description “a big scary black man.” Gareth was helpful in extorting the shop owners on Carl’s route and he was also quite helpful in getting Frank in trouble with the coke dealers.

G-Dogg took everything Carl and Sean had except their socks and undershorts.
Lamar promised Frank some physical maiming if he messed up the cocaine delivery

Na’im Lynn played G-Dogg, Carl’s boss. Carl had to deal with him to get out of the thug life. His de facto stepfather, Sean Pierce (Dermot Mulroney) made the mistake of playing mediator. That cost him and Carl all their clothes, as well as Sean’s car. Lamar (Marcus Folaji Ajose) was the guy who whacked Carl in the head with a gun. Frank decided to deal with him to get in on the delivery of the cocaine to Indiana. Gareth and Frank threw a big party and delivered a package of laxative to Indiana instead. We have not yet seen the consequences to Frank.

Debbie encounters Larry with another pregnant woman at Lamaze class

Brett Davern played Larry the Maiesiophile. He struck up a friendship with Debbie Gallagher (Emma Kenney) at the baby store, took her out to lunch and drove her home, leading her to believe that they had a connection. At Lamaze class, Debbie learns the truth: Larry has a fetish for pregnant woman and he’s there with Scarlett (Jee Young Han) who doesn’t mind sharing. There may very well have been “plenty of Larry to go around” but Debbie didn’t want any.

Lip’s new playmates

Angeline Appel, Rachel Rosenstein and Maria Breese played the latest girls who are wild about Lip and there was plenty of him go around at their sorority house after Queenie (Sherilyn Fenn) helped him get over his thing for Professor Helene Runyon once and for all (we hope).
