Sinead O’Connor Blasts Rolling Stone for Kim Cover

Irish singer, Sinead O’Connor is outraged at Rolling Stone’s latest cover featuring Kim Kardashian. That is sort of putting it mildly!

“What is this c**t doing on the cover of Rolling Stone?” O’Connor wrote on her Facebook on July 14, according to many media reports, continuing with: “Music has officially died. Who knew it would be Rolling Stone that murdered it? Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh can no longer be expected to take all the blame. Bob Dylan must be f**king horrified.” Billboard reported that a rep for Kim Kardashian had no comment, but the offensive language was definitely flagged because if you follow the link to the Facebook post in their article, it says the content is not available.

This song came to mind. It seems to mention the same 3 things SO mentioned: Rolling Stone, Bob Dylan (“the jester”) and music dying.

…And moss grows fat on a rolling stone
But, that’s not how it used to be
When the jester sang for the king and queen
In a coat he borrowed from James Dean

And while Lennon read a book on Marx
The quartet practiced in the park
And we sang dirges in the dark
    The day the music died
    ….
And the three men I admire most
The Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost
They caught the last train for the coast
    The day the music died

      Benefitingly beautiful.
Admittedly, I just saw it as another well-focused Irish rant.

Yeah, the bald and beautiful SO is notable for her rants.

But no amount of Irish rants can save us from the “brand” Kardashian, I guess. 🙂
