U.S. Open, PGA Championship, and Masters Rescheduled; British Open Cancelled

The professional golf schedule continues to get turned on its head due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Masters, which had already been postponed, now has a new date: November 12th-15th. The PGA Championship has been rescheduled from May 14th-17th to August 6th-9th. The U.S. Open has been moved from June 16th-19th to September 17th-20th. The British Open, or The Open as it’s known, scheduled for July 16th-19th, won’t even happen this year. No date is set, but it won’t be until 2022. This is the first time since 1945 that the Open Championship has not been held. The Ryder Cup is still scheduled for September 25th-27th.

All of this, of course, depends on the status of the Covid-19 pandemic. Some experts predict we could see a second wave of it in the fall, as has been the case with other epidemics. Consider everything in the immediate future to be tentative.
