Preacher (AMC) Renewed for Season 2

Having you been watching AMC’s new series “Preacher” starring Dominic Cooper as Jesse Custer? We have and we love it! It airs on AMC every Sunday at 8 pm (CST) and is going on its 7th episode on July 10th. Over the weekend, it was announced that the show was already renewed for a second season. We usually watch it on Monday night. Custer is a man with a bad past who has come back to his hometown to fulfill a promise he made to his father, who was a preacher himself. A mysterious power enters him and he finds out that he has the ability to make people do things. Up until July 4th, we had no clue what the mysterious power was that entered the Preacher. Then Jesse used the power to make the bumbling angels, Fiore and DeBlanc, tell him.

Dominic Cooper was interviewed by the Hollywood Reporter about his feelings now that he knows the show will have a Season 2 and what he thinks about his character’s motivations.

Also, in the last 2 episodes, there was the very entertaining triangle that developed when the 100-year-old Irish vampire, Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun), fell in love with Jesse’s ex-girlfriend Tulip (Ruth Negga). Now that Cassidy knows the boyfriend Tulip was pining for is Jesse, will he still want Jesse’s girl? Ruth Negga is Dominic Cooper’s girlfriend in real life.
