LeBron Scores 51 as Lakers Beat Heat

LeBron James scored 51 points as the Los Angeles Lakers beat one of his former teams, the Miami Heat, 113-97 on November 18th in Miami. It was the first time he had beaten the Heat as a member of the visiting team since he left there after the 2014 season. It was the 13th time LeBron has scored 50 or more in a game.

The Lakers who began the year 0-3, improved to 9-7. A check of the team’s stats shows just how much James means to this team. He is averaging 28.8 points, 7.7 rebounds, 6.9 assists, and 1.4 steals per game, all of which lead the team. He also leads the league in points per game, 0.1 ppg better than Charlotte’s Kemba Walker. Of course, James has been a dominant force for every team he’s played on.

Next up for the Lakers is a visit to Cleveland and a date with the Cavaliers on November 21st. It will be interesting to see the reaction to LeBron’s second return to his original team.
