Kawhi Leonard Scores 55 Points in Clippers Win Over Pistons

Kawhi Leonard is one of those unfortunate players who has to deal with injuries a lot, but when he’s healthy, he can still get the job done. For example, on December 28th Leonard scored a career high 55 points and grabbed 11 rebounds while leading the Los Angeles Clippers to a 112-99 victory over the NBA Eastern Conference leading Detroit Pistons.

Leonard has played in 21 of the Clippers’ 31 games this season, and is averaging 27.5 points per game. If he maintained that pace for the rest of the season, it would also be a career high. The win over the Pistons was L.A.s fourth straight victory; the bad news is that the Clippers are just 10-21 on the season. They’ll get a chance at victory #5 in a row on December 30th, when they host the 8-24 Sacramento Kings.
