Kate Upton Encore on 2013 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue

The annual winter tradition of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue will feature Kate Upton on the cover for the second year in a row.  The cover shot for 2013 was taken in Antarctica of all places, and photography shoots were held on all seven continents in an effort to make it as expensive a venture as possible.

Well of course they wouldn’t be spending all that money if they weren’t making big bucks from the swimsuit issue.  In fact, SI recently launched the website SwimDaily.com based on the swim suit issue phenomenon, changing it from a once a year magazine to a year round web destination.

Who says print media can’t adapt to change?
