Joe Pavelski Scores Four Goals, But Stars Still Lose

Dallas Stars center Joe Pavelski missed the final five games of the Stars’ Stanley Cup playoff series with the Minnesota Wild due to a concussion, but he didn’t miss a beat in the second round opener against the Seattle Kraken in Dallas on May 2nd. The 38 year old Pavelski became the oldest player to score four goals in a post season game, which turned out to be all the Stars goals. Unfortunately, this performance was not enough as Seattle won in overtime 5-4.

Five players scored for Seattle, with Yanni Gourde scoring the game winner at 12:17 into overtime. The Kraken scored their first four goals in the first period. Game 2 is in Dallas on May 4th.
