Joe Burrow Passes for 525 Yards and Four Touchdowns as Bengals rout Ravens

Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow passed for four touchdowns and a franchise record 525 yards to lead the Bengals to a 41-21 victory over the Baltimore Ravens on December 26th. The two teams entered the game tied for the top of the very tight AFC North Division at 8-6, and the win propelled the Bengals into 1st place. Pittsburgh (7-7-1) and Cleveland (7-8) both lost their games. While the Ravens, Steelers, Bengals and Browns all still have chance at the AFC North title, the victory puts Cincinnati in a good spot with just two game left in the regular season. The Bengals will host the 11-4 Kansas City Chiefs before finishing at Cleveland. The fading Ravens, who have lost four in a row, will be at the 11-4 Los Angeles Rams before hosting the Steelers to close it out. The Browns are at Pittsburgh next week.

In Burrow’s rookie season last year, the 2020 overall #1 draft pick threw for 2688 yards and 13 touchdowns with five interceptions in 10 games before suffering a season ending knee injury. The quarterback has played in all 15 of Cincinnati’s games so far and has passed for 4165 yards and 30 touchdowns, with 14 INTs. He has not thrown an interception in his last three games, and his numbers, which are pretty darn good, would be even better if he hadn’t been sacked a league leading 47 times.
