David found the Jeopardy! round Daily Double in “Muses” under the $800 clue on the 5th pick of the round. At $600, he was in a second place tie with Monica. They both had $200 less than Alan’s lead. He bet the $1,000 allowance and he was RIGHT.

David finished in the lead with $7,400. Alan was second with $4,000 and Monica was last with $3,800.

Brad found the first Daily Double in “To the Lighthouse” under the $1,600 clue on the 8th pick. He was in the lead with $11,800 now, $5,800 more than Pam in second place. He bet $5,000 and he was RIGHT.

2 clues later, Brad landed on the last Daily Double in “Colonial America” under the $1,600 clue. In the lead with $18,000, he now had $12,000 more than Pam’s lead. He bet $10,000 and he was RIGHT.

Brad finished in the lead with $34,000. Ken was next with $16,200 and Pam was in third place with $9,600.

There’s not much to add to this FJ. You just had to know the amendment numbers and add them up and everyone did. After the reveal, Trebek said: “It’s a very significant number for those of us here at Jeopardy! because this tournament was our way of celebrating our 35th anniversary.”

Colby bet $7,001 to finish with $16,601. Yesterday’s $8,000 gave Team Colby a grand total of $24,601 or Jean Valjean’s prison number, as was pointed out. “Do you hear the people sing?” Colby quipped.
Matt didn’t bet anything so today’s $16,200 and yesterday’s $32,500 came to $48,700 for Team Ken.
Larissa didn’t bet anything either and it was $36,000 plus $34,000 for Team Brad for a winning total of $70,000.

I think the prizes should be: $1M for first then $600K for second.then $300K for third. I think people should get $50K just for showing up.
I picked Brad, Alex and Roger in the fantasy sweepstakes. Roger is probably my all-time favorite player, but he seemed out of kilter in this tournament. Intimidated, nervous and missed a lot of answers. Julia also was somewhat of a disappointment; I thought she’d fare better against the powerhouse men. I know they were going for diversity in age, race, and gender, but there were a few players who probably didn’t deserve to be part of this as much as others who didn’t get selected.
@Howard, I picked Buzzy, Alex and Matt but then I found out it was a sweepstakes so I didn’t even enter. Good luck to you though.

ok, i said after day 1 that the format was boring, but then began to enjoy it immensely. so i take it back. kudos to the tournament organizers and players for a great job.

@klm, she said something like ‘let’s do the parentheses’ because the title of the song is (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction — that’s why Brad made the parentheses gesture. I guess it got a laugh because it was an unexpected thing to say
“You forgot the parenthesis” or something along those lines. The official song title is (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.
Oh doggone it, Brad Rutter remains again, and he picked two very fine teammates.

When Brad gets invited for the next mega tournament, HOPEFULLY, whenever that will happen. I mean, we all wanted Brad to lose, because he needs to learn that he can’t win everything, and yet, he doesn’t lose. AAUGH! But earlier today, I uploaded the ”Brad Rutter Is Undefeated No More” video, when he ACTUALLY LOST to Ogi Ogas on a game show called ”Grand Slam”. If you want to watch it, go check it out.
I always cheer for Brad…. plus, he gets better looking over the years…. something we nerds can appreciate like any brainy duckling into swan.

If they had a MVP award in this tournament it would have to go to Larissa…..she was outstanding.
I fully concur re the wonderful and brilliant Dr. Larissa Kelly and have greatly enjoyed her past and current performances on JEOPARDY! I was inspired by her to pursue a book project now in progress (and I am striving toward my PhD too).
Well, we are finally through with the All Stars. Congratulations to Team Brad!! The 2 DDs and gutsy wagers by him (15K!!) did not hurt either, so it was not as close as I thought it would be. Imo Ken made a tactical mistake. He should have played DJ on Monday and not J, today he should have played FJ. That possibly cost him and his team winning this thing.
At least all got FJ so congrats to everybody making it to the finals,FJs 6/6, even though Team Colby did not figure into the decision. And we didn’t either, all of us struck out…🙄
So back to normal tomorrow…….
This was a fun tournament and it will be forever remembered in our hearts. Congrats to Team Brad on winning this game and the big one. Glad Larissa and Dave got.their redemption. It is back to the regular games and our returning champ.

Actually, I was not that excited at all. The “team” thing was not the best idea imo, it diluted the whole thing imo and complicated things (e.g. I think Ken should have played DJ yesterday and FJ today) and the format….well, I watched only the 2 finals . There is something like TOO much of a good thing.
@Lou, I don’t know if I even have a favorite moment from this tournament but kudos to Brad for killing it in this game. I’m kinda happy we’re returning to the regular games tomorrow and we’ll be able to see the lineups on Jeopardy.com again. Here’s a link to the last regular game. Looks like Larissa Kelly is happy she got redemption after huge battle with Dan Pawson in 2009 and Russ Schumacher in the Battle of the Decades. David Madden is happy that he got redemption after losing to Bill MacDonald the Millionaire contestant in the Tournament of Champions in 5/16/2006.
Not only did Larissa Kelly get her revenge on Dan Pawson after losing to him in the 2009 JEOPARDY! Tournament Of Champions in Las Vegas, even though I was rooting for Dan, not Larissa, but with a grand total of $661,930, Larissa Kelly has won more money than any other woman contestant in JEOPARDY! history, bumping 20-time champion: Julia Collins with $495,766 down to 2nd place.
After all, Brad Rutter defeated him for that in the Battle of the Decades.
