Havre de Grace Supporting Cast: Boardwalk Empire

Here are some of the actors who appeared in Episode 11 (Havre de Grace) of Boardwalk Empire, Season 4.

Louis Gossett, Jr. guest-starred as Chalky White’s (Michael Kenneth Williams) mentor and former employer, Oscar Boneau. Oscar was the biggety man on the Northside when the Commodore was in power but, he tells Chalky, he wasn’t raking in the dough the way Chalky must’ve thought. He only made what the Commodore would let him. After Chalky sent him a 911, Oscar sent Levi (Brian Coats)  and Weems (??) to drive Chalky and Daughter Maitland (Margot Bingham) to his home in Havre de Grace, MD, where he lives with his nephew Winston (??) whose nickname is Scrapper. Dr. Narcisse (Jeffrey Wright, who did not appear) sent some men out to kill Chalky but they killed Oscar instead. Scrapper and Levi killed Narcisse’s men, or at least some of them. We assume we will be seeing more of Scrapper and Levi. Scrapper wanted to go to Atlantic City to help Chalky kill his enemies. Weems, we’re not so sure. He may have been the one who tipped off Narcisse to Chalky’s whereabout. Then again, Daughter disappeared, too.

The Gillian Darmody (Gretchen Mol) and Roy Phillips (Ron Livingston) storyline came to a conclusion, with Warren Kelley returning as David Hewson (formerly Mr. A&P in Acres of Diamonds). Roy and Hewson were really Pinkerton detectives, and apparently so was the guy who pretended to be Roger’s friend. He was played by David McElwee who also turned up in this episode. Using our brilliant powers of deduction, we figured out that if he was really Roger’s friend, he wouldn’t need to show up to help apprehend Gillian. Dominic Chianese made another appearance as Leander Whitlock. Seems Leander sic’ed the Pinkertons on Gillian because he thought he owed the Commodore one. Maybe he’ll come back next season and fill us in on who gets the mansion now: Tommy Darmody (Brady and Conor Noon), the Commodore’s natural grandson; or LuAnne Pratt, his maid and the original beneficiary of the Commodore’s Will before Jimmy Darmody tore it up.

Maybe Luanne Pratt will show up and testify that Gillian was the one who was really poisoning the Commodore’s biscuits.
