Here’s a summary of the clues on The Best Ever Trivia Show for Wednesday, August 21, 2019 with host Sherri Shepherd. Today’s episode title is “Ever-Keen.”

The format of this show pits 3 contestants against 3 trivia experts. There are 3 rounds and the player with the highest score wins $1,000 and moves on to the Ultimate Trivia Challenge for a chance to win $10,000. They give one player a choice of categories and a choice of experts to play against. It’s a multiple choice format.

In Round 1, Vanessa chose NICKNAMES instead of Amusement Parks and she chose expert Arianna. 4 questions, 50 points for each correct answer and double if Arianna gets it wrong.

In Round 2, as the leader, Vanessa picked EVERGREENS and not Amusement Parks. 100 points for each correct answer. Raj was this round’s trivia expert to beat for double points.

In Round 3, Vanessa chose LITERATURE and not Government. The twist in this 3-question round is the expert reveals how confident s/he is about the answer and the players have a chance to go with that for 200 points or to pick their own answer for 400 points, if right. Ken is this round’s expert.

Neeb and Ken ended the round in a tie so Neeb got to play the Ultimate Trivia Question chosen by the experts before the show. He does not have to beat Ken on this one. He just has to get it right.

Unfortunately, Neeb picked the wrong mess hall crew. He won $1,000, but it would have been $1,200 if they were giving away $200 per correct answer for the last round. 😲

    Arianna Haut was defeated by 2002 College champion Kyle Hale.

    I don’t know what’s going on with Ken. He’s been missing a few obvious clues on the show. He has a lot of different projects going on. Perhaps his concentration isn’t focused 100% on this particular show.

    And Ken guessed Neptune for the tilted planet? I thought Uranus was common knowledge. Wow!

    That last round was quite a shocker today, I tell ya. I was so sure that Ken would get that Henry VIII question right. I mean, that’s well-known as one of Henry’s arguments for an annulment from Catherine of Aragon.
