Here’s a recap of the clues on The Best Ever Trivia Show for Thursday, June 13, 2019 with host Sherri Shepherd. This episode’s title is “Need for Speed.”

The format of this show pits 3 contestants against 3 trivia experts. There are 3 rounds and the player with the highest score wins $1,000 and moves on to the Ultimate Trivia Challenge for a chance to win $10,000. They give one player a choice of categories and a choice of experts to play against. It’s a multiple choice format.

Today’s 3 trivia experts: Ryan Chaffee, Raj Dhuwalia, Muffy Marracco

Josh has the distinction of being the first player to win $10,000 and get to come back as returning champ

In Round 1, Josh chose LEGENDS & LORE instead of Geology and he chose expert Muffy. (That was lucky for him yesterday!) 4 questions, 50 points for each correct answer and double if Muffy gets it wrong.

In Round 2, Laura chose HIGH SPEED for the next category and not Geology (they’re avoiding that like the plague!) 100 points for each correct answer. Ryan was this round’s trivia expert to beat for double points.

In Round 3 Curtis chose THE HUMAN FACE and not Photography. The twist in this 3-question round is the expert reveals how confident s/he is about the answer and the players have a chance to go with that for 200 points or to pick their own answer for 400 points, if right. Raj is this round’s expert. (He claims he got everything right so far!)

Josh wins $1,000, his second win, and gets a chance to win $10,000 by taking on a set of 5 more questions and getting more of them right than Raj. If he does, he will return once more on the next show. Any player who makes it through 3 shows, and wins $30,000, gets to join the Best Ever Trivia Show’s expert team.

The round ended there because it was impossible for Josh to beat Raj. Sherri said he earned another $1,000, bringing his total winnings to $11,000. So if a player does win that $10,000, it includes the $1,000 for the first 3 rounds. My goodness!
