There was one triple stumper this week and one triple solve. We thought Tuesday’s clue was the easiest and Thursday’s was the toughest. Every single game was dominated by Friday’s returning champ, Matt Jackson, who came into the week with $21,200 and proceeded to rack up quite a sum by the end of the week. Every game except Thursday was a runaway, and that game was one of the three when his FJ answer was right. Obviously, he was correct on Tuesday. He was the only one to get FJ on Thursday. His other correct FJ was in the first game he won.
How many did you get in the Literary Before and After category from Tuesday’s game?
Matt’s FJ performance is a good indicator that your prediction will come true about a tough DD doing him in.
@Cece, that was of course supposed to be a reply to your comment below but I failed to hit the reply link. grrrr
I hope my prediction is wrong, but every time he gets a DD my heart skips a beat.
Anyway, I don’t know if you’ve already seen it but this video cracked me up!
Thanks, Cece, I didn’t see that and had a good laugh — “I’ve got two bodies in my trunk.” (add mad scientist laugh). hahahaha…. on Twitter, I saw someone refer to Matt as Matt “Bundy” Jackson.
LOL! The poor kid. Everywhere on the internet people use words like creepy when talking about him. I’m guilty of that too— I like him but I just can’t help it.
I work with a bunch of older volunteers, and the other day I overheard an elderly lady asking another: “Have you been watching that weird Michael Jackson on Jeopardy?” So I yelled from my office, “His name is Matt, not Michael!”
Ah, it’s just a joke. On Twitter, someone pulls that serial killer thing out for any player with a less than natural smile or close set eyes. It’s a little extreme, yes, but usually a lot of people have already been thinking, if not saying, the word weird.
I should thank Matt for naming Shirley Temple Friday because it made me take a look at an old Favorite Shirley Temple Movies article on here and this theme messed it up a little so I got to fix it. I was a big Shirley Temple movie fan when I was a kid but she never crossed my mind for that clue. Maybe if the quote had been “I stopped believing in Santa Claus when I was six. Mother took me to see him in a department store and he asked for my autograph.” LOL!
Funny that Matt posted a picture of E. Roosevelt with S. Temple and a picture of U Thant on his Facebook page. He has a wry sense of humor. 🙂
Yes, LOL. That is funny.
Matt is incredibly knowledgeable and an amazing player but, surprisingly, he is only 3/6 on FJ. So Ben Ingram is still the FJ King.
