There were 3 triple solves this week and no triple stumpers. That’s right! None, zero, zip, nada. Apparently, Friday’s clue was the tough one for the players. At any rate, I’d vote Thursday’s clue as the easiest in a week of easy FJs.

Jeopardy! champs for the week of March 27, 2017

Monday’s returning champ, Robert Weibezahl, was defeated by Adam Vesterholt. Julie Brannon sent him home on Tuesday and she also won Wednesday’s match. On Thursday, Eric Vernon took over and he also emerged victorious on Friday.

Here is the “Pick Your Poison” category from Tuesday’s game. The $600 clue in there is the one that piqued my curiosity.

I wondered how often they had used one of the incorrect responses, “wolfsbane,” in a clue before. I only found one instance on J-Archive in a 2005 game and there was a reversal on it: “Of the genus Aconitum, this poisonous garden plant is sometimes used medicinally.” So if you see Aconitum on Jeopardy! ever again and forget the “s” in wolfsbane, it’s okay!
