This was a week of fairly easy FJ’s. Even though there was only one solve on Wednesday, the hints connected with Wednesday’s writer come up often enough on the show to actually make that a yawn for regular viewers. That’s why we judged Tuesday’s clue the hardest. It was the only time I ever saw them ask for the phrase (as opposed to the disaster) so it seemed more challenging.
Steven Oppenheim (Steve-O) returned on Monday only to lose to Jill Regan. She won her second game on Tuesday but was defeated on Wednesday by Joan Dietrich. On Thursday, Meghan Schulz took the honors but lost on Friday to Will Dawson, who capped off the week with the top payday. Both he and Jill got on the Top 10 payouts list for Season 35.
Will and Jill were exactly $1,000 apart.
- $39,995 – Anneke Garcia 1/15/19
- $38,200 – Mary Ann Borer 11/5/18
- $34,401 – Lori Goodman 9/11/18
- $33,801 – Dave Leffler 12/3/18
- $33,600 – Alan Dunn 10/18/18
- $33,201 – Steven Oppenheim 1/25/19
- $32,700 – Sarah Butner 10/04/18
- $32,601 – Will Dawson 2/1/19
- $31,601 – Jill Regan 1/28/19
- $31,400 – Nancy Schoppa 9/25/18
From Thursday’s game, Jeopardy! knew what would be on everyone’s mind this weekend.
“…the hints connected with Wednesday’s writer come up often enough on the show to actually make that a yawn for regular viewers. ”
I’ll make the above my favorite quote of the week. 🙂
@Cece, I guess that could apply to a lot of clues for long-time viewers, although when a clue is so easy that the player has a quizzical look that says “is this really a Jeopardy! clue”, it’s pretty funny
That sentence gave me a chuckle ’cause, in occasions such as this FJ clue, I’ve always wondered if contestants watch Jeopardy as part of their studying. Like when they miss a clue on Whitman, lol.
