We had one triple solve this week, and just like last week, it was on Tuesday. Oddly enough, that was in Children’s Books. This week’s Children’s Literature FJ! only got 2 correct responses. The other three clues did even worse, with just one right. I can’t say for sure which clue was the hardest — maybe Monday’s when the players needed to pinpoint the decade and the superstar. They did name 3 different superstars.

Jeopardy! champs, week of September 27, 2021

This week, Matt Amodio added another 5 wins to his amazing winning streak. Every game was a runaway, and Matt won his 33rd game on Friday, topping James Holzhauer’s 32 consecutive wins. Of course, Matt hasn’t come close to James in terms of money won, but what are the odds that we will ever see another player with James’ nerves of steel when it comes to betting? Matt’s winnings this week were more than respectable all the same, with only one payday under $50,000. Tuesday’s $70,400 was Matt’s second highest single payout in his entire streak.

As far as chasing Ken Jennings’ record number of wins goes, Matt’s gonna have to win 33 more games before I even start thinking he can do it. Meantime, Jeopardy! made this video comparing Matt Amodio’s stats so far with those of Ken Jennings and James Holzhauer.
