We had one triple solve this week on Tuesday in Children’s Books. That was the easiest of the week. Ridiculously easy, really. The other 4 clues were evenly divided between 1 and 2 right responses but there were only 2 players left in Final Jeopardy! on Friday. I suppose you could count that as “everyone got it.” We usually do for the predictions. Monday’s clue was the hardest for me. I never saw that movie and had no idea what that clue was referring to.
Matt Amodio won every game this week. Monday was the only game that was not a runaway and there were no paydays over $50K this week, whereas there were 3 last week. Matt was creeping up on the million dollar mark but, after Thursday’s game, it didn’t look like he was going to get a big enough payout on Friday to make it. Indeed, Matt wasn’t doing so hot in the first round of Friday’s game but he rallied in Double Jeopardy! and sailed over the million mark with $4,001 to spare.
From the show’s YouTube channel, here is Matt Amodio, Jeopardy!’s latest millionaire, to tell you how he feels about achieving this milestone and what he thinks about his next challenge (beating James Holzhauer’s 32-game record).
