WHAT IS THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY?

The above video will give you some info on “The” trademark woes that The Ohio State University and fashion designer Marc Jacob were having. The latest news I can find on the matter is about a truce the parties entered into where they can both use the trademark “as long as ‘The’ is to be used in separate marketplace.” I don’t know if the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has or will approve the trademark for either or both companies.

Laura bet nothing and finished with $800.

Alex wagered $999, bringing him up to $3,599.

Courtney bet $4,000 and won the game with $21,600. Her 7-day total is $118,558.

Courtney is an excellent player, and I’m proud to say a fellow Portlander. But I’m not convinced yet that she’ll be successful against ToC competition. When you don’t know “D”ulcet, Neil Diamond, and anterior cruciate ligament, the smart folks are going to wipe you out.

And there’s at least one person on this planet who doesn’t know that Catholics go on pilgrimages to Lourdes. (OK, probably a lot more than one!)

Go Courtney! Congrats on 7 days and $118,558!

  3. Lou says:

Darn the daily doubles. They were not nice to Laura or Alex but I am happy to see the triple solve today. Congrats to Courtney once again on her seventh win. She has been playing like a pro. I hope she scores the eighth win tomorrow. Marc Jacobs handbags are very popular in stores these days like Macys or jcpenny VJ. Compare it with Yves saint Laurent, which is better?

  4. Jacob Ska says:

Wow! Go Courtney. I’m enjoying your run. Congratulations.

  5. Ismael Gomez says:

Rough episode as all 3 DDs were missed resulted our eighth skunking.

  6. William Weyser says:

Darn Those Daily Doubles, but Courtney got lucky, and is now a 7-Day Champion, and she’s tied with Brian Chang for most games won this season.

  7. Darius Doom Scott! says:

Man, those daily doubles got them hard.

  8. Kevin Cheng says:

We now have another 7 day champion in Courtney. She is now tied with Brian for 7 wins. If she wins tomorrow, she will be in first place all by herself in the TOC tracker.
