WHO ARE JOHN ADAMS & JOHN QUINCY ADAMS?
On this list of U.S. Presidents by term, you can see that Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe and Jackson were all 2-term Presidents. Only John Adams and his son served one term. Moreover, after the first seven, no president would complete two terms until the 18th, Ulysses S. Grant. Those ten president who served one term (or less, if succeeding to the office from the Vice Presidency) were:
Died in first term: W.H. Harrison, Taylor
Assassinated in second term: Lincoln
Ran again but defeated: Van Buren (1848), Fillmore (1856)
Never ran again: Tyler, Polk, Pierce, Buchanan, A. Johnson
Barbara got it right. She bet $350 and finished with $850.
Murdock went with James Madison and John Adams. That only cost him $200 and left him with $5,000.
Frank got it, too. He bet $10,100 and won the game with $30,600, which was a new one-day record at the time. Frank’s 5-day total of $102,597 was also a new record.
In the intro to the show, Alex explained that Frank exceeded the $75,000 amount that a network would allow people to win on a game show. The amount over the limit was $27,597 and Frank chose to donate it to the Gift of Love Hospice.
On 2-6-2014, Frank competed in the Battle of the Decades

Amazing win from Frank. He has a big streak in all the tournament’s he participated in. Dan pawson was also the biggest winner as well with 200000 dollars. Speaking of this final jeopardy, was there another season that had a similar clue on John Adams and Quincy Adams VJ?
I’m sure they have done a lot of clues on John Adams & JQA, Lou, including their wives.
Anyone notice how Murdock laughed at the guitar triple stumper because the answer was his last name?
I noticed that, too, VJ!
Many, many years ago, I saw Frank Spangenberg on the train platform in the Village, he was in uniform. I just remember that it was before 9/11, so it was quite a long time ago.
