Yikes. 0/3 on DD, but got FJ. Karel Cåpek and R.U.R.

Scott wasn’t as much of a “heater” today. However, I think that these two weren’t as strong as some others.

As per usual, about half the TS.

Scott’s facial expressions when he gets a clue wrong are a hoot! It’s like his brain is a giant filing cabinet and oops! He can’t believe he filed a wrong answer.

  2. Howard says:

It was game, set and match when Ameen missed that killer DD. (Only one I got was the middle one)
Got FJ right away; we read RUR in high school English class nearly 60 years ago, yikes.
They left a few for the taking on the board: the mattress company; the processed skin; the Rome airport booking with towel, etc.

  3. Rick says:

Hmmmm…..It was another runaway for Scott, but that wasn’t too surprising based on his prior performances. Anyways, I performed above average in the game, and much better than I initially thought. Seriously though, “Robotics”, and in1941 no less? Well heck, I can still remember of a toy robot that my parents bought me for Christmas in 1959, and it was pure junk. I mean, the wired and remote control robot bent down to pick up an object once, but that was the first and last time that it performed that stunt. Well, it still walked on its roller feet (for a short while at least), but that was all. Yeah, Sears sold that piece of junk. Okay, I’m through ranting. No, given the year, I went for ‘Nuclear Science’ in FJ, and which wasn’t a bad guess in my humble opinion.

    • Howard says:

It was around that time that I got Robert the Robot for the holidays. I think he may have “talked” and said something like “I am Robert the Robot, mechanical man.” It was so long ago, I honestly don’t remember the details.

  4. Trevor Panno says:

I just have a feeling that Scott will lose in the final week of this season.

  5. Kevin Cheng says:

Scott is the first player this season to sweep back-to-back weeks. Something that doesn’t happen since Adriana last season. Scott is now #14 in the all-time winnings.
