Darn, no show tonight. Convention ran 80 minutes over, then ABC affiliate showed 2 other shows then went to the local news.

Got all 3 DDs from the recap, missed FJ. Should have known that one, mostly because the band did a big talk session a few months ago, on Colbert I think.

Some stumpers were attainable: the -re/-er word; beach job (how many beach jobs are there?); TV drama; section of Algiers.

I understand both guys’ wagers but haven’t quite figured out Meredith’s yet.

I meant to call my son and tell him to watch the show. I know he would’ve known the book with the Walking Dude, and it was because of him that I predicted 1 right response for FJ! But I fell asleep. When I woke up, it was over up there or maybe even preempted.

I’ll ask him when he calls me Saturday. (He calls me most Saturday but this particular Saturday is my birthday so, yeah, he’s gonna call for sure)

3/3 on DD and got FJ. I was hoping that Micah would get it, but, oh well!

    • Howard says:

Hi, not sure if you saw my late comment from prior show, but I mentioned that “Garp” author was John Irving. (Hopefully you don’t mistake one internal organ for another, LOL.)

      • Jason says:

I went back and saw that. Thanks. And, organs not paired don’t resemble others too much!

  3. Albert says:

Did anybody else guess ABBA for the Final?

  4. Kevin Cheng says:

Finally Jay got Final Jeopardy correct for the first time. He needed that in order to win his third game. Tomorrow is the sixth to last game of Season 40. Whoever wins tomorrow will get to enter the final week of Season 40 as a champion.

Here’s a little trick I learned in H.S. for knowing the difference between those things in Carlsbad Canyon. The one with “G” is on the ground; the one with “C” is on the ceiling.

    • jk says:

VJ, that’s the mnemonic device I used, too.

    • Lisa Schuttler says:

I learned stalagTite is Top and therefore stalagmite is ground.

      • VJ says:

I guess that could work as long as you can remember that the top one doesn’t have a G in it. It’s stalaCtite. That’s why the C for ceiling is better.
