Fj was mostly a gimme, but I knew at least one of them would pick the UN, which was formed in 1945 (Oct 24 is UN Day). The recap says 1941, but I believe the actual clue read 1949. That and the “obligation” part were enough to give it away.

Jared has to be about the worst multi-day performer ever on DDs. If he’d wagered only $1, he’d have won a lot more $$ and probably had a runaway today. “English Channel” was a weak response today to a somewhat obvious DD about the strait between France and England. Unless someone beats me to it, I think I’ll go back and see how much $$ he earned on DDs vs how much he lost. But VJ probably has this info readily available.

A couple of lame responses in the 12-letter category (skeleton, warehouse).
I thought the eventual champ would bet more on his 12-letter DD, but at least he wagered correctly on FJ. “Treasury” for wage and hour division was also a poor guess.

Interesting about the French linen. I know it only as a crossword answer for a very light shade of brown or tan. The stumpers on the St Louis soundtrack guy and the Arabian strait were tough, but I thought someone would get them. Especially musician Jared on the first one.

Howard, here’s what I’ve got on Jared’s DDs:

      Game 1
      DD1: -$1,000
      DD2: -$3,000
      DD3: +$2,000

      Game 2
      DD1: -$3,000
      DD2: N/A
      DD3: +$2,000

      Game 3
      DD1: -$4,000
      DD2: -$3,000
      DD3: N/A

      P.S. – I fixed that 41 / 49 thing.

      • Howard says:

I went back and looked. Jared was on 4X. Game 1, missed the first 2, got the last. Game 2 Missed the first, got the 2nd. Game 3 got all 3. Game 4 Missed both. Totals: 5 right, 5 wrong.
$10000 won, $14000 lost. And in Game 4, a potential runaway if he answers either one correctly.

  2. Collin says:

No runaway, no repeated champion for Jared today. That means the 5-time Jeopardy champion crisis continues.

  3. Rick says:

An obvious no brainer for FJ, and the champion somehow flubbed it.
