As per usual, Howard said what I thought. Underwhelming.
I was 3/3 on DD, and got FJ. At first, I was dreading the FJ clue, but, when I saw it, smooth sailing.
My own bummer: Molière? Since when did they have photographs in the 17th century? (I got that one.)
Fairly underwhelming group tonight. Liv rallied nicely from minus $1400, then disappeared in the end game. Bevin was on the comeback trail till she erred with Balmoral (what I too said) and Lakes District. Andrew’s $14K entering Final was primarily from his two daring wagers.
I rarely get to say that I hit all 3 DDs and Final. “Spanning the alphabet” made FJ simpler.
I’m still wincing from those two lame answers (Parade and Ulysses) from that clue on the well-known Max Bialystock musical. The A+ free of disease clue wasn’t impossible. Knew the McGovern and Dukakis running mates, but I didn’t expect them to know. Somehow I came up with the 2-word process for the fish tank. $6400 for those 5 clues alone.
I love the “Unhappy” song in the 2005 version of the Max Bialystock musical featuring Matthew Broderick, Jon Lovitz and a bunch of accountants. Funny stuff!
Well, I didn’t do all that well in today’s game, and I couldn’t even come up with even one element for FJ. The fact that all three contestants came up with the correct response for FJ was surprising considering that none of them knew what the chemical formula NH3 was.
Finally we get an easy clue to close out the week. Overall this week was un ugly week. We only had 4 correct responses out of 15 in FJ! Every day gives us a different champ this week. We had 22 triple stumpers in this game however it’s not a record for the most amount of triple stumpers.
I know I really hope we have a better week next week I’m predicting 10 triple stumpers and 9 out of 15 fj answers and a 7 day champ gets bested
Not possible for a 7-day champ to lose next week. Andrew is a 1-day Friday champion.
Hopefully, we’ll do better next week.
