WHO IS MOHANDAS GANDHI?

On 3/10/2009, the New York Times reported “After intense protests from India’s government and the Indian press, Mohandas K. Gandhi‘s eyeglasses and some of his other belongings were sold on Thursday afternoon for $1.8 million at an auction in Manhattan, after last-minute attempts to halt the sale.” Getty Images has an image gallery of items that were sold.

Evidently, That wasn’t the only Gandhi auction. The BBC reported on the 5/21/2013 London auction, where Gandhi’s will and a blood sample (among other things) were up for bids.

Ariel wrote down Osama Bin Laden. That cost her $1,400 and she had $200 left.

Ed thought it was (John Wayne) Gacy. He lost his $6,999 bet, finishing with $3,201.

Kelly had (Ernest) Hemingway. She didn’t bet anything, natch. Her 2-day total is $37,500.

Kelly is certainly an excellent player. If she makes it another runaway tomorrow, I predict the Julia Collins comparisons will begin (even though Julia only had one runaway in her first 3 games)
