TWO of the contestants got Final Jeopardy! right.

WHO IS TONY BENNETT?

Tony Bennett was 85 years old when his “Duets II” album went to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200, making him the oldest living act to reach No. 1. He not only surpassed his previous record high from 2006 when the first “Duets” peaked at No. 3, he also broke Bob Dylan’s record as the oldest living artist to hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 (“Together Through Life” a No. 1 in 2009 when Dylan was 67). “Duets II” features 17 duets, including “The Lady is a Tramp” with Lady Gaga, “Body and Soul” with the late Amy Winehouse, and “The Sunny Side of the Street” with Willie Nelson. Bennett’s first album, “Cloud 7”, was released in 1955 when he was 30 years old.

Barbara wrote down Johnny Cash but crossed him out in favor of the right response. She didn’t bet anything and stayed at $200.

Amber had Johnny Cash (He had 2 Billboard 200 No. 1s). She lost her $10,000 bet and had $800 left.

Hunter also got it right. He bet $4,001 so he won this match with $21,601. His 4-day total is $93,001.

I uploaded a Youtube video about 2 months when Hunter got a Daily Double right about ”The Law”, and I did not expect Alex to say ”Aren’t you glad you got a Daily Double about the law? Attorney Hunter!”.

  2. VJ says:

Amber is an editor on the entertainment website Wetpaint. She wrote an article about her Jeopardy! experience on there.

    • rhonda says:

Thanks for posting, VJ. Amber seems very sweet. Of all the things I’ve wondered about Alex, never once did I wonder what he smelled like lol!

      • VJ says:

That really did make me laugh out loud, Rhonda. Same here. I’ve never wondered that once either. :):)

        • Cece says:

Another contestant, Talia “Turd Ferguson” Lavin, also mentioned in an article she wrote that Alex smelled great. Whatever. 🙂

  3. lou says:

I wonder if Hunter’s total for tomorrow could be the same as dan feitel when he won 5 games back in 2015. He is also an attorney from gillette, nj

    • VJ says:

Dan Feitel’s 5 day total was $127,998 (2015 ToC list).

Hunter would have to win almost $35K tomorrow to match that.

      • Lou says:

35K is a lot but I can only wish Hunter Luck. Also I wonder if Johnny cash had any number 1 songs on the billboard charts from the late 80s or the early 90s?

  4. GBsteve says:

Here in Green Bay Wisconsin we had 3 Tony Bennetts at our airport in 1991. One was a basketball player (now coach), one a Green Bay Packer, and the singer all at one time. Seriously!

  5. VJ says:

Anybody else think of the Barnes & Noble commercial with Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga singing a little bit of “Baby It’s Cold Outside”, just this past Christmas?

Here’s a link to 10 clues from this match

    • Cece says:

No game here, yes, you guessed it, the stupid game. Anyway, for some reason, I don’t recall that commercial.

Nice four-day total for Hunter. Too bad he makes timid bets on DD’s, though.

      • VJ says:

True about the DDs. I guess he thought they might throw him a curveball on the NY Senators, but I thought he would have felt more confident in The Law category than $2K

      • EricS says:

Or on FJ. He could’ve bet more than $2000 more without more of a risk of losing the game.
