I guess any question is easy when you know it, but I thought the Final was one of the most obvious ever. Good of you to point out the 8 Spanish articles, as “el” and “la” were the only ones that came to mind right away when the screen was revealed.

    • VJ says:

      de nada, Howard.

Disclaimer: I don’t know very much Spanish but in Houston, where I live, a lot of things are in English and Spanish, so you pick up a little here and there. Once when I was getting off a bus, I amused the driver when I said: “thanks for the Spanish lesson” 😃

Oh, VJ, the strawberry shortcake video was so amazing! So delectable! What a craving I have for a slice of that cake!! Oh for the day when my favorite bakery reopens, they have the most delicious slices of strawberry cheesecake, among many other delicious selections.

    • VJ says:

Glad you liked it, Rhonda. I hope your bakery opens soon. We just have to make do these days.

McDonald’s is open but they didn’t have any apple pies the last 2 times my daughter went there. So last week, I got a hold of some puff pastry sheets and a can of apple pie filling and made my own. 😁

This week, I can’t get any puff pastry, so I’m going to have to make my own. 😮

      • rhonda says:

Yes, VJ, that’s all we can do these days. Good for you on making your own apple pie! Any attempt I’d make at baking would only end up in total disaster, Not to mention, that my oven is only used for storage, I call it my “pantry”. That’s where my goodies are stored lol.

I wonder what Alex announced in the beginning and ending.

  4. Lou says:

So we wrapped up the week with a strong four game winner. Spanish has been my favorite language since high school. I have to commend Ashleigh for being close with that response of cote d’Ivoire. Still though it takes a lot of work for me to learn Spanish because of grammar and conjugation. Jesse pretty much dominated the whole game today.

    • VJ says:

idk how you figure that, Lou. Cote d’Ivoire is French. I mentioned the Spanish for it, Costa de Marfil, in the recap (see the second paragraph where the book is) — marfil = ivory. There’s something to add to your Spanish vocabulary.

      • Richard Corliss says:

So the 2 next weeks we have the greatest of all time and 2 of Ken Jennings first and last appearances and on May 18th-29th, we have the Teachers Tournament.

        • Dal Higbee says:

I think the Teachers Tournament is actually going to be June 1 – 12.

        • VJ says:

omg! can you guys give it a rest already, or are you going to keep posting about it every day until it happens?

      • Richard Corliss says:

Sorry. I’m just upset about the COVID-19 health crisis and Wheel and Jeopardy! are running out of new episodes.
