TWO of the contestants got Final Jeopardy! right.

WHAT IS CHEMISTRY?

Marie Curie pulled off a lot of firsts with her Nobel Prize wins. In 1903, she became the first woman to win a Nobel Prize. That was in Physics. In 1911, she became the first woman to win the Nobel in Chemistry, as well as the first person to win two Nobel prizes. So far, Madame Curie is the only person to win a Nobel Prize in two scientific categories.

Linus Pauling won his first Nobel Prize in 1954 in Chemistry. In 1962, he became the second person to win two Nobels when he won the Peace Prize for his activism in opposition to weapons of mass destruction. So Chemistry is the category that he has in common with Marie Curie.

Bryce thought it was Physics. He lost $5,599 and finished with $1.00.

Guy got it right. He bet $4,201 and finished with $15,001.

Mike got it right, too. He bet $6,601 and won the game with $21,601. Mike Dawson is the new Jeopardy! champ.

Not a bad game. Bryce was his own worst enemy, coming up with some goofy answers (Knight Rider; powdered sugar). Perhaps he was mentally spent playing his 5th game in a day. Glad my current hometown guy won.

I went with chemistry for Final right away, though not for the exact reason. Figured it was chem/physics and chem/medicine & that one was M Curie.

Thought the “Wiley” aviator was better-known; guessed the airport city; narrow road wasn’t difficult. Should have hit all 3 DDs, but couldn’t come up with the dance.

I had a bad feeling he was going to say tango. ugh! I knew about the Wiley guy and Will Rogers.

I was sorry Bryce had a bad game. I liked his smile when he got something right.

Oh drat! I could only come up with ‘Radiation’ for FJ as the Curies instantly came to mind.
