I got final. Not difficult, in the least. I saw the movie on an airplane (and I’m a Disneyphile). Just because they all missed it doesn’t make it “tough”.
Some people (referring to myself) are never happy. I had had enough of tournaments, but, regular contestants coming back seem to be a step below, which is a bit of a letdown.
I also got all 3 DD. The mountain range I learned from Jeopardy!
2 of the 3 DDs were pretty easy. I’d never heard of those mountains, and likely will forget their name by tomorrow.
Glad they caught the mispronunciation, because I heard it right away. “KKK” would have avoided that misstep.
Lucas pretty much had to wager most of his $7600 to cover Daniel and Lee in case both bet it all and answered correctly. Daniel had a choice. He could have wagered as little as $401, but that would not beat Lee if she answered correctly and bet it all. $3201 would have avoided that. As it played out, a smaller wager on his part, such as $3201, would have won the game.
The “Lou Grant” medium wasn’t tough, and those two missed state capitals were a bit tricky but not impossible.
Lee was the underdog throughout the game, but came from behind in FJ to win the game. Anyways, I never seen the 2017 animated film so I didn’t have a clue.
I don’t know the last time there were unplayed clues but I think that these contestants could have played them all if they (except Lucas) hadn’t started each sentence with “let’s go to” or “let’s try”. Such a lot of valuable time wasted.
Speaking of the Final Jeopardy! clue, just because Ernesto left Miguel’s family, doesn’t mean they can ban music and start a shoemaking business.
And we got a triple stumper as today’s final was a tough one.
The year 2017 and the word Dante reminds me of a Disney Pixar movie, and that final clue is somewhat easy.
Daniel’s $7,200 score before FJ! was the third time that happened this month. It was Amy’s final score before FJ! yesterday and it was Jennifer Quail’s final score before FJ! in the semifinal match Amy won.
Today was the first day of the long-awaited return of regular games and the return started off rough with low scores, killer FJ! and a small payday with only 2,200. Despite only giving 7 correct, Lee won the game. It’s also the fewest number of correct responses for a winning player since January 8, 2010 when Susan Poliniak won despite getting 5 correct and the only player correct in Final. It’s also the first time in a long time that we saw unplayed clues. When was the last time in regular play that we had unplayed clues.
