I cannot understand how not even one of 3 smart people could not come up with the obvious choice of missionaries. Who else goes out and preaches the gospel?

    • VJ says:

Well, there’s the Jehovahs and the Mormons. Of course, one would not connect them to the Pope but I was undecided myself between apostles and the correct response until I saw klm’s clever hint on Spoiler Talk this morning — also a common “position”! That clarified things. LOL!!

Bruce’s road to that runaway was, for sure, bumpy.

We start the week with a triple stumper as it was a tough Final Jeopardy clue.

  4. Lou says:

Since the clue referred to the bible, I knew it right away but I think Bruce might be able to run a streak despite missing the daily doubles just like Alan lin did previously. But soldiers? That’s not even remotely close. VJ do you know anyone close to where you are doing missionary work for the church?

    • VJ says:

How do you figure soldiers isn’t remotely close? Didn’t you ever hear the song “Onward, Christian Soldiers”?

Yes, I know a lot of folks who do missionary work.

  5. JP says:

When I first saw the clue very early this morning, I was confused, thinking everything after the quote, including the response they were looking for, was referring to the same quoted Bible passage. When I checked it again later in the morning when I was actually awake, the correct response came to mind.
