WHAT IS UKRAINE?

Matthias Kort will show you the source of the Danube River in Donaueschingen, Germany if you watch his video for a minute. The 10 countries that it flows through in alphabetical order are: Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Germany, Hungary, Moldova, Romania, Slovakia, Serbia and Ukraine. World Atlas.com says that “Ukraine is the last country to see the Danube before it empties into the Black Sea. It creates the Danube Delta in both Ukraine and Romania. Around 272 square miles of its total 1,603 square miles are in Ukraine.”

Tracey had a scribbly “Czech R.” That cost her everything but a dollar.

Peter wrote down “What Ukraine.” That tickled Alex and added $11,000 to Peter’s score for a $23,600 finish.

Amy picked Switzerland. She lost her $8,201 bet so she ended up with $8,799. That made Peter a 2-day champ with a total of $51,000. Συγχαρητήρια, Peter!

What I hate is missing Jeopardy because they show BASKETBALL for the entire weekend starting Thursday!!! Sheesh. They did say Jeopardy for 3/15 would be shown at 5 a.m. tomorrow morning, what a relief…

I liked Peter’s ”What Ukraine?” response, although it reminds me of a 6-time champion named Joel Pool, who left out the verb ”Is” not once, but twice, and he won both times. Leaving out the verb ”Is” does not affect the response, but leaving out ”What is…”, or “Who is…”, or ”Where is…”, or whatever does.

Congrats to Peter once again. I can see him becoming tournament of champion material. I found his answer to be hilarious and I got a kick out of it, don’t you agree ,VJ? An easy final but Switzerland is way too far to be touching the Danube river. What answers did you get a kick out of today, VJ?

    • VJ says:

@Lou, what I got a kick out of today was Amy getting that Daily Double on a clue that mentioned getting the Daily Double. Also, they had a “U” know” hint in the Treaty category today, like I did for the FJ this morning (only I didn’t think to put my U in quotes).
