Boy, the writers really amp up the difficulty of the clues for the ToC, but the players are nearly always up to the task. That’s what separates them from we mere mortals. Knew the Ramadan moon only because I’d read it somewhere 2-3 days earlier.
The action was all in the game. No strategy was needed for FJ. The fellow that said they liked this better, I think this is the down side (vs the two-day, total point affair).
Good on Troy for keeping the pressure on, even after the DD hit, to ensure his runaway.
Ben did seem to be more restrained this game. A little bit, at least!
Troy Meyer’s 46,800 is the highest score going into Final knocking out Juveria Zaheer’s 45,600 in Second Chance. Troy’s 21,800 is the highest true daily double we seen in the entire history of the show and Yogesh’s 20,400 is the highest second place score going into Final in a lock game. Normally that would be enough for Yogesh to win but not today. I hope Yogesh claims his first win tomorrow because of his strong play today so we can have a three way tie at 1 win apiece.
Actually, on the show this evening (Thursday), the day after, Ken said it’s the third highest daily double wager ever, and the top two are James Holzhauer.
