Sad to see a contestant like Waseem have a huge brain fart on the last DD and end up with a gooseegg. Oh well, that’s just what it comes down to.

  2. rhonda says:

VJ, for the Before and After eye exam clue, do you think they would have accepted Stinkeye Exam instead of side eye exam?
I felt sorry for poor Waseem, we both share a great love of doxies so I was rooting for him.

    • VJ says:

I don’t know about them, Rhonda, but I would accept it.

Yeah, that was two tough breaks for Waseem, but that first one he got was only a second row clue so he made the right move making a big bet there.

After that, I was hoping he would get an easy one on the 4th row DD like Dewi did in the first round — give us day by day our “this”.OMG! So frustrating to see one player get a softball like that and another get creamed..

      • rhonda says:

Thanks, VJ. I agree, what rotten luck he had with those two DD”s, good grief.

      • VJ says:

And while I’m at it, does anyone besides me ever wonder why the clue writers put extra info in on some clues where it’s not necessary, but not on others where it would be helpful

Today’s example from Before & After: Shakespeare comedy that’s cooked until all the red in the steak is gone & the meat is 170 degrees internally

imo, that last clause was just unnecessary

What is a dog desert? There is no such thing as far as I know. Waseem is dismissed. Guess he needs to do more studying. This reminded me of veronica’s fourth game where shanu missed all three daily doubles. A great comeback by Jessica today. Speaking of Mr Van Dyke, VJ you’ve heard of Diagnosis Murder right? He was an exceptional actor in that show. I also know that dick was in night in the museum as well.

  4. Richard Corliss says:

    Darn those Daily Doubles.
