VJ, he won by $3, not $4.
Jeopardy! lover, I almost put down $3 but then I thought if I say $3, they would have been tied, right? That’s why I said Ollie needed $4 to beat Michael
Good thinking, VJ! I knew your math wasn’t that bad 🙂
Loved the above picture of Michael with the hands gesture.
Thanks, Cece! It’s still funny that the one time I don’t make a math mistake, someone thinks I did, ain’t it? 🤣🤣🤣
Oh, yeah, it makes sense now VJ, Ollie would have needed $8,403 to beat Michael and that would have been $4 more. Sorry about that.
His explanation of the XYZ Affair was incorrect. He said that the French agents tried to bribe our agents. It was the exact opposite (explained above).
They (French agents) expected bribes and payment to be allowed to meet with the French minister.
Actually, the French agents expected a bribe along with a loan to the French government.
I wasn’t even aware that we had a dispute with France at the time. I mean, what quasi-war?
VJ, do you remember if there was another episode of jeopardy which also has mentioned the xyz affair? Good scores today by the players. I’ve never heard of the run barrel fiasco, but was that a silly response or what.
I think it was a joking reference to the Whiskey Rebellion.
We end the week with another triple stumper.
This was just a tough week for the leaders. Maybe, next week will be better for them.
