I, too, went with Faulkner. FSF didn’t even come to mind. 2/3 on DD.

I liked just how smart this game sounded. Few dead air spots, and no inane responses devoid of logic. Def better than some of the TOC games.

Ka-ching! I moved from Faulkner to Hemingway to Fitzgerald, having no idea if any of them was the one. Surprised myself a bit by getting DDs #2 and 3 (assuming Czech Republic was acceptable).

Game efforts by Avi (from my current hometown) and Amy to stay in touch.
I more or less understand Avi’s wacky FJ wager now. Luigi was compelled to wager $4801 at least. Amy was likely to wager $9401 if not the whole wad. Avi hoped to get FJ right, the others to miss, and he’d have $18833 compared to Luiigi’s $18799 or less, and Amy’s probable $4K-ish total.

Knew the female athlete and should have easily nailed the hard-shelled fruit.

Maybe someone here can pin this down better than I. Avi won something like $100K in teen or college tournament and gave a bunch of it to a charity. I remember it being on the local news.

  3. VJ says:

I got FJ! thanks to an Amazon series called Z: The Beginning of Everything, with Christina Ricci in the title role. It was originally on Prime. According to its IMDB page, there’s a lot of places you can stream it now.

  4. Rick says:

It was another great and competitive game with Luigi finishing in the lead. Well, I went with William Faulkner too for FJ.

  5. Ismael Gomez says:

We begin the week with a triple stumper since today’s final was tough.

  6. William Weyser says:

Avi wagered $7,233, and he was left with $4,367.
