I found the first two DDs extremely difficult, but was surprised Patrick whiffed on the third, especially with a photo of the food in the clue. FJ had to be an animal (sired 100+ and died at 14), but couldn’t come up with the name. Will Rogers? What an embarrassment. And he died in a plane crash.
Happy for Ed because he’s a senior, and lives in Dana Point, a charming SoCal beach town I lived in for five years in the 70s and 80s. I visited in 2015, and the population had at least tripled.
Someone should have known the short-term Pope who died in 1978. Not surprised that no one knew the comic possum. He’s credited with saying “We have met the enemy, and it is us.” I thought for sure someone would know the house in Massachusetts in the novel, and Jane Addams’ Chicago house.
Hmmm…….All I could come up with was the actor Sabu in FJ for lack of a better choice, but it was a good game nevertheless.
