Pre-empted by basketball tonight, so it’s solely the recap for me.
FJ stumped me entirely, but I did hit all three doubles. But not sure I’d have answered the first in the allotted time.
The Z tribe was pretty basic. The Venezuelan leader is pretty famous/infamous, take your pick. The marble/Madonna statue creator seemed obvious to me and not a $2000 clue.
Seeing the scores entering Final, I thought at first Greg should have bet $201, but now I see he played to beat Susan by $1 if she doubled. Congrats to her for nailing a tough final and a tougher champion.
Yes. Congrats to Susan. I made one of the predictions that only one would get FJ, but I thought it would be Greg.
I was 2/3 on DD and got FJ. I remember reading about Kevlar, and, the woman that created it, she didn’t get a patent because DuPont did.
The first half of the first round was a dud. Also, I predict a short reign as champ for Susan – too conservative. When she got the third DD, even being correct, she was still in 3rd place.
I got a little more than half the TS.
Well, the explainthatstuff article I linked to in the recap states that she did get a patent in 1966 and there’s a link to it. Kevlar, however, is a registered trademark of Dupont.
I just cannot believe it. The internet lied to me!!
WD40 in FJ? No!!!!!!! Well, all of the contestants performed well up to the FJ. As for me, I did better than average, but I drew a blank in FJ.
