In the Polynesian category, when she said “also known as Rapa Nui”, she stole my fire! My nefarious plan, if I EVER get on J!, is to use the correct local name of places, like Rapa Nui, las Islas Malvinas, and the Hellenic Republic! Also, the island mentioned for the pearl actually has “Nui” after it, which means “big”.

I missed FJ. I got bamboozled by the Indian reference, and went with “Gunga Din”.

Wow, Kevin took no prisoners down the stretch. And Adam did himself no favors by blowing that pretty easy Huey Newton DD/animal quote. He likely would have won the game with a correct response there. One of my college dormmates had an all-black feline she named Huey P Cat.

FJ got me. Saw the film many many decades ago. Sad that no one knew that apparently forgotten civil rights icon. His widow spoke at my daughter’s HS graduation 20 years ago. Nameless/unknown word not difficult., same with the chili pepper. Knowledge of the language gave me the Leon Marchand clue. Got only the first half of the heart layer.

Hmmm………It was another great game to be sure, and Kevin became the new Jeopardy champion! Congratulations! As for the 1956 film version ‘Around The World In 80 Days’, I don’t think that the movie actually did the novel itself much justice.
