I did say “Darn Those Daily Doubles!” to Sophia. Brett, not your day. Will, at least, you ended a short carousel of 1-Day Champions.

  2. Jason says:

Yeah, Sophia bad answered herself right out of competition. That was remarkable, in not the good way.

I missed FJ. I said “Epiphany”.

  3. Howard says:

Holy spirit! Had no clue on FJ but said Pentecost just to have something.
First DD wasn’t tough; second easy but only in hindsight.

Sophia surged into the lead, then faded like a cheap suit. I don’t think we see a crash like that too often.

Old enough to remember the Na Na Hey Hey title as well as the band. That was a big-$$ question long ago on “Millionaire.” “La Comedia” title not too hard to figure out. The name of Truman’s critic has “faded away” over time. The rhyming Broadway legends were a cinch. The sea squeezers also somewhat obvious.

  4. Rick says:

It was a clear runaway for Will. Wow! Now, that Spanish category might not have been particularly easy even for Spanish speakers, but I got most of the clues.. In sum, I did about average in the game, but with an easy FJ.

  5. Travis says:

I thought the clues tonight were pretty hard. Tough material.

  6. Ismael Gomez says:

Awful show. All 3 DDs were missed resulted a skunking and a double stumper in the final resulted our fourth epic fail on wagering clues. I hope tomorrow’s episode will be much better.

  7. Kevin Cheng says:

I felt bad for Sophia. She played so well and I thought she was going to be the new champion, but she missed all three daily doubles and her attempt to catch back up didn’t work out well for her as she took a lot of incorrect responses knocking her out of contention. She was dangerously close to zero but did stay eligible for Final while Brett’s attempt to do so ended up short. Darn those daily doubles to Sophia and Brett wasn’t able to get any cash at all.

    • VJ says:

I wasn’t paying that close attention in the second round so I was shocked when Sophia hit that last DD and only had $2,800. I had to go watch that round over. She held the lead until she lost $2,600 on the 4-Legged Friend DD, almost half way into the second round. Then she was tied with Will and he took over the lead on the next clue.

Way too many stumpers in this game with bad guesses taken at roughly half of them.

    • Richard Corliss says:

This is just like last Wednesday.

    • Ismael Gomez says:

I know Porter from the 2016 Teen Tournament and Shanu missed all the 3 DDs as well.
