Chris Brown Should Follow Charlie Sheen’s Example?

Joy Behar discussed Chris Brown’s meltdown on her HLN talk show, the same day (March 22) that Brown was interviewed by ABC’s Robin Roberts on “Good Morning America.” All Roberts wanted to talk about was the two-year old Rihanna incident and all Chris Brown wanted to talk about was his newly released album. The questions he was asked were pre-approved, Joy Behar and her panel said, so they didn’t understand why Brown flew off the handle after the interview. “The album he was there to talk about is called F.A.M.E. which he may be promoting from J.A.I.L.,” Joy said. (Not true, ABC has announced through a spokeswoman that it has no plans to press charges in this matter.)

Marvet Britto, publicist and president of the Britto Agency, said that questions about Rihanna are very much a part of Chris Brown’s “DNA.” She didn’t think that it was a publicity stunt and just believes Chris Brown is still “very bitter” and hasn’t learned how to deal with the media.

She pointed out that the letters of the album stand for “Forgiving All My Enemies,” and commented “That’s not what you name an album if you want people to forget you had a very difficult period in your life.”

Attorney, Lisa Bloom, said Brown is showing that he doesn’t get it at all. “All he has to say is ‘I did a terrible thing, I pleaded guilty, I’m doing my community service, my probation and I’m sorry, and I’ve said that, and let’s move on and talk about my music.'”

Are they kidding? Chris Brown has said all of that in the past repeatedly. The real question is how many times does he have to do the public mea culpa and why?

“… taking ownership is really the first step in redeeming yourself,” Marvet Britto said and Joy Behar said, “He’s not up to that, I guess.” Well, dumbos, he took ownership when he pleaded guilty.

They further demonstrated their idiocy when discussing Chris Brown’s angry post-incident tweet:

“I’m so over people bringing this past shit up!!! Yet we praise Charlie sheen and other celebs for there bullshit.”

“Charlie Sheen isn’t abusing women, first of all,” Marvet chimed in and was immediately set straight on that by Joy and Lisa, who said that Sheen has twice pleaded guilty to domestic violence and been accused many more times where he was not charged.

“I think Chris Brown make this point that Charlie Sheen has gotten a pass from the mainstream media about that. People very rarely ask him about it … two criminal convictions, we don’t have to say ‘allegedly’ — Charlie Sheen has abused women just like Chris Brown …”

Marvet Britto claimed that the difference is that we have not seen Charlie’s handiwork, while Rihanna’s injuries have been plastered all over the internet. She said that Chris Brown is “not Charlie Sheen, so at the end of the day, you have to not put yourself in someone else’s category.” She felt Brown should have been remorseful in his tweet and begged for forgiveness. Apparently, all the remorse Chris Brown has shown in the past isn’t good enough, but there’s more —

“Charlie Sheen,” she added “is also making fun and light of what he’s doing by saying he’s ‘winning’ and it’s very different from Chris Brown running away from it. Charlie Sheen is embracing his bad behavior and he’s really creating a movement. Chris Brown hasn’t done that. He’s not collecting fans along the way.”

Can you believe Britto really said that !!! Does she think that Chris Brown should follow Charlie Sheen’s example and embrace his bad behavior?

They didn’t bring this up on the show, but we want to point out that one of Marvet Britto’s clients is urban gossip site MediaTakeOut.com, who published the police photos of a beaten and bruised Rihanna at the end of Feb. 2011 for no other reason than to demonize the singer some more.

We so disagree with these clowns. Chris Brown should just refuse interviews with questions about Rihanna. He’s paid for his misdeeds and now it’s time to tell everyone that wants to bring it up to go to hell.
