Cast of American Crime, Season 2

Here are the characters in Season 2 of American Crime which premiered on ABC on January 6, 2015.

The Leyland Faculty:
Felicity Huffman as Leslie Graham

Headmaster (or mistress, if you prefer) Leslie Graham is played by Felicity Huffman. Sports coach, Dan Sullivan is played by Timothy Hutton. In the first season of American Crime, they played the divorced parents of the murder victim. In this season, Graham is obviously the one with all the power and Sullivan is a reluctant disciplinarian.

Chuck Huber – Dean Hanson
Jonna Juul-Hansen – Mrs. Reid, a guidance counselor

Students

Connor Jessup plays Taylor Blaine, a voucher student at Leyland. He is front and center this season as the boy whose mother alleges he was drugged and sexually assaulted at a party for the basketball team. Photos of him, doped up and in his underwear, have been circulated online and via phone. Some had scribblings on them, such as White Trash.

Angelique Rivera plays Evy Dominguez, a Thurgood Marshall student. She was Connor’s date at the party, more or less, because he left her to fend for herself with the mean girls.

Trevor Jackson plays Kevin Lacroix, co-captain of the Leyland basketball team. In the first episode, he incurs his girlfriend’s wrath by being too sexually aggressive. His mother also is angry with him for letting another player (Eric) get the winning shot at a basketball game when he could have done it.

Mone’t Chandler plays Kevin’s girlfriend, Val Wright. Kevin’s socially conscious mother doesn’t approve of her.

Joey Pollari plays Eric Tanner, co-captin the Leyland’s basketball team. He has already been shown to be a problem individual by his behavior on the basketball court. Worse, he was showing a picture of a girl around the locker room and said he wanted to rape her. He also spoke at the dinner.

Andre Williams plays basketball team member, LeSean Young. He was one of the students who honored Coach Sullivan at the fund-raising dinner and mentioned how the coach was like a surrogate father to him.

Wes Baxter (Michael Seitz), another basketball jock, was shown in two scenes in the first episode. The coach’s daughter, Becca, (Sky Azure Van Vliet) was showing him some cheerleading moves and a dance called “The Miley.”

Ty Doran plays Eric’s brother, Peter. He goes to Thurgood Marshall and hates that his parents left him in public school and are killing themselves to keep Eric in Leyland.

Rima Rajan plays Nikki Bashir, a Leyland student who likes Kevin Lacroix with limits.

The Parents:

Lili Taylor plays Anne Blaine, Taylor’s mother. Her whole world is blown apart in the opener when her son gets suspended and she learns the reason but not from the school and not from her son — from Evy.

Steph Sullivan (Hope Davis) is Coach Sullivan’s wife and Becca’s mom. After her husband makes light of Wes’s responsibility in the “Miley Dance Caper,” she still wants her husband to have a serious talk with Becca. Why do we have the feeling that Becca is headed for bad trouble herself?

Regina King and André Benjamin play Terri and Michael Lacroix, Kevin’s parents. Terri has obvious goals for her son that will likely go down the toilet when the stuff hits the fan.

Emily Bergl and Brent Anderson play Lilah and Curt Tanner, Eric’s divorced parents
Faran Tahir plays Rhys Bashir, Nikki’s father. He sits on the board of directors of Leyland.

More characters:

Elvis Nolasco plays the principal of the public high school, Thurgood Marshall. In the first season of American Crime, Elvis played Carter Nix, the man accused of killing Matthew Skokie. As mentioned above, this season’s Headmaster and Coach at the prep school were the deceased’s parents.

Michael P. Gardner played Officer Rosenthal, who knows Terri Lacroix and apparently looks out for her.

American Crime dancers

Pierce Bailey and Delaney Jaclyn played two dancers who were practicing a dance at Leyland that looked a lot like they were playing out some kind of violence between the sexes.
