Beatles No. 1 Hits in the U.S. – Billboard
The Beatles first No. 1 hit in the United States was “I Want to Hold Your Hand”, the beginning of a very good year for the Liverpool Lads who dominated the Billboard charts that year with 5 more No. 1 hits. Here is a list of The Beatles’ No. 1 hits per Billboard, only this one goes by year, while Billboard goes by rank. For some reason we didn’t look up, Billboard lists the B side of two songs right along with the A side for a total of 20 No. 1 hits. If you count “Something” and “For You Blue” separately, it’s 22 No. 1’s.
